We were all saddened by the loss of Virginia Gehman in early June. She had been a member of SCFBC for over 25 years and served faithfully in many ministry positions.

What we didn't know was that Virginia had one more service to give after her death. We soon learned from her family that Virginia had included the church in her will; her gift was a generous $40,000!

The breakdown is as follows:

  • $5,000 to our Bethlehem outreach
  • $5,000 to support our Christian education work
  • $15,000 to underwrite roof repairs
  • $15,000 to renovate the Education Wing

Virginia included our church in her will because she loved it. Susi and I have followed her example. Have you thought about using your estate's assets to make your own gift to SCFBC?
