Transitioning Pastor
December 2014
It's hard to believe, but our Bethlehem outreach is just around the corner. Thousands of Santa Clara families come to experience the Christmas Story in our parking lot. Here is how you can make a difference this year.
We begin with prayer
It's not too late to begin praying for those visitors who will be coming who don't know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Pray that people would come who need to know Jesus. Pray that they hear and experience the message of the Christmas story. Pray that their hearts be open to receive this message into their minds and hearts.
Also pray that those from other churches who come every year to be blessed by our production would bring their own friends, neighbors and relatives to experience the Christmas story. May many churches leverage this event to expand their own outreach endeavors in their part of God's great Kingdom.
Jerri Cooper is heading up a Prayer Team that is already praying for Bethlehem's impact. You can join in with this group by contacting her at Jerri@scfbc.org
As we pray, so may we serve
How will you join with the rest of the family at SCFBC to make this year's outreach the best ever? Will you be a townsperson? Man a marketplace booth? Join the company of Roman guards? How about helping with parking? Handing out hot chocolate? Distributing the costumes? Serving in the first aid station? Serving as a youth slave or entourage dancer? If you'd like more information contact Trudy in our church office at Trudy@scfbc.org
This year we are continuing to improve our Host ministry. There will be four Information/Prayer Stations located throughout the campus during Bethlehem. At each we'll have friendly, outgoing individuals to warmly greet our guests and perhaps engage in conversations with them that might lead to a spiritual dialogue.
It's not too late for you to get involved. Ask God where He wants you to serve and jump in!
