September 2020
In September of 2015, these flowers were growing in the backyard of my very good friend Janet MacDonald. Janet lives in the town of Alyth, Scotland, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alyth], which is located in the center of the country. The current population of Alyth is 3,200. Compared to the city of Santa Clara – whose population is now over 130,000 and increasing every day – Alyth is over 40 times smaller. So you'll probably be surprised at the size of the town's church, which appears in the final photo.
