The local church is the hope of the community. SCFBC continues to partner with CityTeam to make a difference in our community and the city.
Ten (10) Baptisms
Honili Sema, the Director, and Melody Alvarado, the program coordinator, invited Pastor Wung and Margareth Valui to visit the CityTeam women's ministry. The leaders had done amazing work to disciple the women. The visit led to four women and a young girl committing to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Pastor Margareth and Honili baptized ten (10) women during our worship service. It was a joyful and glorious Sunday.
Seven (7) Rededications
The seven women shared their stories of despair to hope. The women had seen the dark side of addiction and unhealthy relationships. Now they want to live for Jesus. Powerful!
Seven (7) Children Dedicated
Children matter to God, and they matter to us. Jesus is passionate about children! And we are too! Seven mothers brought their children for dedication. They invited their family members, Godparents, and friends to pray for their children. The whole church committed to praying for the parents and the children, that one day the children will grow up to follow Jesus and be baptized like their parents.
