Fall Life Groups are now in session, running until November 25th. If you're eager to delve deeper into the teachings of the Word of God, connect with fellow believers, engage in meaningful discussions, pray in unity, partake in recreational activities, or share your life journey with other members of the faith, there's a Life Group tailored just for you. For additional details, please visit our website: scfbc.org/lg. Upon signing up, your designated Life Group leader will contact you.

During this trimester of Life Groups, our primary objective is to explore what it means to be a disciple and, subsequently, how to cultivate disciples of Christ. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus instructed, "Go and make disciples." Notably, Jesus didn't emphasize making converts or merely increasing church membership. Many of us have encountered life-changing moments with Christ but stopped there.

The term "disciple," derived from the Greek word "mathetes" (math-ay-tes'), signifies a learner, a pupil, or a follower. In the same way, a student learns from a teacher, a disciple of Jesus follows and learns from Him. Before ascending into heaven, Jesus entrusted the church with His final command, "The Great Commission," calling on all Christians to "make disciples of all the nations." Regrettably, many Christians have responded by creating new "Christians" rather than nurturing new "disciples."
