The "Light the Night" Fall Festival l is the Santa Clara First Baptist Church's significant community engagement initiative. We purposefully opt to light the neighborhood on a dark evening. On the evening of Tuesday, October 31st, the Fellowship Hall parking area will come alive with a brilliant display of lights, adorned vehicles filled with treats, complimentary glow bracelets, inflatable amusements for children, and a delightful petting zoo for everyone to enjoy within a secure setting. Furthermore, The Café will be operational, providing complimentary meals to hungry children and parents eagerly anticipating this special event throughout the evening.
This year, you will see the return of the Bay Area's Largest Indoor BOX MAZE! Light the Night Presents: Journey to the Heart of the Mine! Embark on an exciting adventure through the Bay Area's Largest Indoor Box Maze! Venture into our mysterious cardboard caves, where you'll encounter twists, turns, and thrilling surprises. The challenge? Find your way out and discover the light at the end of the tunnel! Multiple paths await, but only one leads to the best possible outcome. Are you ready to conquer the maze and emerge victorious?
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE AND SERVE?
CAR DECORATING: Do you have a fun idea for decorating your car? (Even if you don't have a creative idea of your own, you can always get an idea from searching on Google). If that is hard, then we will help you. Dozens of cars are needed for this event, so please consider joining in the fun by decorating your car!
CANDY DONATIONS: Candy is always needed to fill the containers in the car trunks. Small novelty items are also a big hit with the kids. Beginning Sunday, October 1, a donation tub will be available in the Sanctuary lobby.
FLOATERS: Would you like to help ensure that everything is going well at an event like this? Supervisors are needed at the inflatable Jump House and the Slides. Also, "runners" always need to refill the car trunks with treats occasionally.
HOSPITALITY: Got a smile to share and a warm welcome to extend to our guests as they arrive? Then you are needed at the "Welcome Tent." If you like to see hungry tummies get filled with something more nutritious than candy? Come help prepare and serve hot dogs, nachos, and other goodies at The Café.
CLEAN-UP CREW: The parking lot needs to be ready for use the next morning, so a team of God’s best is needed to ensure everything is cleaned up and put away.
