The drive from the church to Fasting Prayer Mountain in Scotts Valley was a very pleasant drive of about 40 minutes. When we parked and got out of our cars, there were already several other groups praying, singing, and worshipping. We could hear them throughout the campgrounds, as the sounds of their singing and praying filled the woods around us.
A group of us from the worship team spent a day together in worship, reflection, and prayer. Setting aside a whole day for God brought us closer to Him. And worshipping in a natural place like Fasting Prayer Mountain felt amazing. In the afternoon each of us took a prayer walk to pray that we would attend to what God calls us to do. This day that we spent together deepened our spirits, gave us relief from our daily worries and fears, and filled us with God's Peace.
We plan to go back next spring, and we hope others will join us. In the coming months, you will see and hear more about going to Fasting Prayer Mountain in the spring of 2024.
