This past week, the VIBE Youth Group experienced God's presence and drew close to the Lord and each other at Camp Sugar Pine in Oakhurst, California. Pastor Jonathan spoke to the youth on the importance of fasting and prayer. Everyone in the VIBE Youth Group was excited to leave behind the many distractions of our daily lives and be in nature with God.
The theme of the retreat was "Masterpiece." "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10
A highlight of the camp was Brianna deciding to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Brianna's decision was a beautiful moment for all of us, and she was overcome with joy. Jason also wanted to have a closer relationship with the Lord and rededicated his life to Christ. God is good!
Our three days hanging out together brought all of us in VIBE closer, which was a great blessing and an answered prayer.
Pastor Jonathan and Youth Mentors Nicole, Kevin, and Evelyn loved every minute of serving and guiding the youth as they experienced the best possible time together at this year's winter camp.
Many thanks to Greg, Jerry, and Ravinder for driving us up to Camp Sugar Pine in Oakhurst, and bringing us home.
