Jesus Traveled Beyond the Borders
Boldly revealing the heart of Father God
Sunday Jun 16, 2024 - Pastor Daniel Griffiths
Matthew 9:35

Jesus traveled throughout Galilee, Judea, and beyond, preaching, teaching, and healing people from various ailments.

"Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people." Matthew 9:35

In this Sunday's message we see a blending of Father day and our Sermon Series on Discipleship where Jesus traveled with his disciples from town to town and even different nations with the gospel message.

Question: Is not the core of the gospel message a Fathers love according to Jn.3:16?

# Please read Eph.3:8-15

In verses 14-15 we find Paul declaring he bows his knee to the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" who expresses himself as a caring Father to creation and humanity with his "eternal purpose" of salvation in His Son Jesus Christ (vs.11).

Notice in verse 10 Paul declares that "it is Father God's intention that through his church he would make known - even to the spiritual powers of the heavens - the mystery (hidden truth) of God in saving creation and humanity by the life and work and resurrection of Jesus.

Question: Can we say then that our evangelism is to be an expression of the Father God's heart which is perfectly expressed through Jesus Christ as the perfect expression of God (Heb.1:2-3)?

Question: Our theme is "crossing the borders'' with the Gospel message. Most of us will never travel to different cities and countries with the gospel message. So what "borders'' will we cross with the Fathers love message in our daily life?

Question: Jesus before he died gave commission to his disciples to go into every city he was going to. What was Jesus' specific strategy for preparing those cities to receive his gospel message? Look at Luke 10:1-9.

Question: What are the four or five ways Jesus tells his disciples to begin the process of gaining a hearing for Jesus' message.

Conclusion:
Paul ends Eph.3 with some exportations in vs.16( the glorious riches and empowering strength of the Holy Spirit be yours) and vs.17 (to be rooted and established in the Fathers love) and vs.20 (He will do more than we ask and ends the chapter praying to the Lord for his Fathers heart and love and power to be ours as we purpose to cross the borders of our life spheres (family, neighborhood, workplaces and schools) boldly with the gospel and the Fathers heart.
