The Journey
The March Sermon Series, titled "The Journey," takes us through five significant Journeys in the life of Jesus and his disciples.
Our journey commences with "The Journey to Bethany," which reminds us to pause with Jesus and of the profound act of devotion when a woman anointed Him with precious fragrant oil, foreshadowing his impending burial. In "The Journey to Emmaus," we walk in the disciples' footsteps as they walk with Jesus, initially not recognizing Him. Still, their eyes are opened as He unveils the scriptures concerning Himself. He unveils the Scriptures, revealing Himself as the living bread. "The Journey to Jerusalem" narrates Jesus' triumphant entry into the city, with crowds shouting "Hosanna," leading to His final days before the cross, reaffirming His role as the awaited Messiah. "The Journey to the Cross" details the crucifixion of Jesus, His forgiveness, and the promise of paradise to the repentant criminal, inspiring us to bear the cross of Jesus as Simon did. Lastly, in "The Journey With Jesus," we witness His post-resurrection appearances and receive the Great Commission to spread the gospel, knowing that Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God, confirming His word with accompanying signs. Our mandate is clear: we are to journey with Him into the world, echoing the profound moments of Jesus' life and applying their significance to our faith journeys.
Throughout this series, we explore the profound moments of Jesus' life and their significance for our faith journeys.
